  • A Doll's House - looking for producer Posted on 10 January 2015

We'll be bringing A Doll's House to a London fringe venue* from 3rd - 13th June, and we need a producer to help make that happen.

What we want to do: stage a production with an integrated cast, at least one captioned production, with all involved being paid National Minimum Wage. We also want to smash the idea of what a fringe production of Ibsen looks like, seeking out adventurous and unexpected ways of exploring this brilliant play and shying away from the naturalistic and the literal.

To make this happen, we need a producer - one who wants to work on a production that aims to get a more diverse group of people onstage and in the stalls. As a company, we primarily work with new writing and that's how we want to make A Doll's House feel - new and unpredictable. The producer's primary responsibilities will be handling press, marketing and helping with funding applications (alongside a few other typical management/admin tasks).

The above plans are naturally dependent on funding, which we are already working very hard to secure. Should this not prove possible, we will pay the producer a flat fee of £200 minimum (negotiable depending on level of involvement/time commitment to the production).

If you're interested in helping us make all this happen, please email us at info@dissolvetheatre.co.uk, with a CV detailing your relevant experience, and a short paragraph on your interest in the production. Deadline for applications is 19th January.

*The venue hasn't yet officially announced its Summer season, but we will naturally share the venue details with potential producers.
